today magen came to our class and showed us about summer learning journey and we had to make a new Zealand flag and i chose the new Zealand flag because it is easy and it has my favourite colours .
Wow, you have been very creative and replicated the New Zealand flag. This looks very similar. Have you thought about the reason you didn't include the Southern Cross (4 stars)? If you were to design a brand new national flag for New Zealand, would it be similar to the one above or would you change it completely? If so, what colours would you choose?
I look forward to reading more of your posts throughout the Summer Learning Journey.
Have a lovely week, Megan from the Summer Learning Journey
Annyounghaseyo Farhad, my name is Cia. I am a Summer Learning Journey blogger who will be working with you over the summer break.
I like that your newly designed New Zealand flag has the same colours as the current flag we have now. Maybe next time you could include more information about why you chose to keep and use those colours as well as what the cross means.
When New Zealand had the flag referendum, I designed my own New Zealand flag that had koru, ferns and a Kiwi to represent the wildlife of our land with the colours black and white to make the red that symbolises all people stand out (because the one thing every person has in common is red blood). I used koru to represent our Māori people. What symbol would you use to represent our Māori people if you redesigned the flag?
A good start to the Summer Learning Journey Farhad, I’m looking forward to reading more of your blog posts these summer holidays!
